Riot at the block party: When a loud courtyard party gets out of control over neighbors' complaints, young police inspector Ilka Grein is knocked out, her partner Nils Rotter is shot to death. When Inspectors Schmücke, Schneider and Lindner arrive at the scene, it looks like a war zone. The forensics experts determine there was a shootout, but the cartridges are all the same caliber and make, police issue. Did the officers somehow wind up shooting at each other amid the melee? Was Rotter killed by friendly fire? The crime scene investigators have another surprise in store: One of the sets of fingerprints at the scene of the crime belong to a Johannes Majewski, who's currently in prison for the attempted manslaughter of a cop. He was on furlough that day. But what motive could he have for the killing? The injured police officer Ilka Grein starts contradicting herself more and more. She originally claimed she didn't fire her weapon, but now has to admit she did. Also, she was romantically involved with her dead partner - and they both knew the suspect, Majewski. There's more to this riot than meets the eye?
