When Buffaloes Weep (139/268)

In animal films hunting is almost always shown from the perspective of the hunter: what strategy are the lions pursuing or will the cheetah be successful with his spurt? Yet what does it look like from the viewpoint of the hunted? What tactic does the gazelle use to escape its pursuers? How does a buffalo defend itself at night against invisible hunters? And what does an animal feel about the loss of one of its fellow-creatures from its own ranks? The film team observed a herd of buffaloes which lost one of its animals every night to the lions. The new perspective and some interesting observations give rise to an surprising question: can buffaloes weep?
