Beautician turns bank robber: Vicky Biel has lost custody of her son due to a drinking problem. Desperate to get him back, she decides to rob a bank to payoff her ex-husband and get the boy back. But the amateur bank robber nearly panics during the hold- up, and it takes calm, collected bank director Nadolny to quiet her down again. She flees before the police arrive, losing most of the money during her escape. The DM 17,000 she takes home are not enough to persuade her ex, however, who holds out for more. Just as Vicky is at the end of her rope, a mysterious small-time crook named Johnny shows up and moves in with her uninvited. He seems to have gotten wind of her heist somehow, and starts to subtly blackmail her: He claims he is fighting for custody as well, and wants Vicky to kidnap his daughter Sarah for him. She reluctantly agrees, but when she questions the kidnapped girl about her father, it turns out Johnny isn't her dad at all: Sarah's dad is bank director Nadolny, from whom Johnny wants to extort DM 3 million ransom, an dthen frame Vicky as the kidnapper. Desperate, Vicky turns to her best friend Anka for help, and the two concort a daring plan to foil Johnny's fiendish scheme. But then Vicky's nightmare gets worse...
