The Village of the Wild Cubs (179/268)

In the midst of the Russian swamps, about 350 kilometres from Moscow: a man walks through the forest, his face is almost completely veiled by his hood, his hands are covered. He is hardly recognisable as a human being. Two little bears are following him. The animals lost their mother in the first days of their life: she was shot by hunters, who paid no heed to the cubs after their successful hunt. Professor Pazhepnov now has to be both mother and enemy at the same time to the orphaned cubs. He wants to teach them everything that a wild bear has to know - including the fear of human beings. In autumn the young bears will then be returned to the wild, there where they belong....
