The Russian Wolf Experiment (210/268)

This program reports about a very unique experiment: two groups of wolves that used to live in contact with people in their youth are to be set free, furnished with radio transmitters. The explosive nature about this topic is the fact that the animals are to be released in the nearer vicinity of human settlements with all their freewheeling production animals. This experiment bears a high risk which is why nobody was daring enough to try anything like this before. There are only rumours, fears and maybe also prejudices about what might occur in such a case. What will happen when compound doors open for wolves that are familiar with humans? Will the villagers have to live in fear of scraggy visitors that will tackle their sheep, hens, maybe even their cows? A scenario which surely cannot be categorically excluded as the animals in question are "orphan wolves" which lived with their parents only for a very short time. The question is whether such wolves are capable of learning how to hunt wild animals and to subsist independently without having any archetypes  or whether there is no way for them around becoming cattle thieves in order not to starve.
