The Pack Of Wild Boars (86/268)

Wild boars are probably the cleverest mammals in our forests. Hence it is hardly surprising that they also feel quite at ease in cultivated landscapes, even daring to come quite close to people, sometimes too close - for the grass is always greener in the neighbour's garden. Wild boars are cloven-hoofed animals and are thus related to the red deer. However, since they are omnivores they don't compete with the shy deer. In winter the deer and the wild boar even share their food. For a whole year we accompany a pack of wild boars in the Bohemian forest. Two young boars, not yet a year old, are the centre of attention; they live out their lust for adventure to the full and keep straying from the pack. They have encounters with other animals and also with humans - and with all the dangers involved. A thrilling and amusing portrayal of the life of a pack of wild boars.
