Whilst on wild boar hunt, Nscho-Tschi and Hokshila get into a mysterious cave, where they find an ancient map which is scatched into a stonewall. It shows the so-called way to the 'Eagles Eye'. After an old indian legend it should be a giant golden ball.To proof their chief Winnetou that they are couraged and bold the two young apaches decide to find the 'Eagle Eye'.While they do their oath one of the bandits of Harry Meltons gang,Pete is listening.He tells this immediatly to his boss were by accident Hobble-Frank is listening. So there is not only the slimy Melton and his dim-witted Pete but also Hobble-Frank and Aunt Droll on their way to the snowy mountains. Melton changes with some scratches the ways on the ancient map. Old Shatterhand and Winnetou get informed by Sam. Winnetou knows the ancient map very well of his youth and sees immediately the manipulation. Not only that Hobble Frank and Aunt Droll are on the way to a very dangerous pass but Shatterhand wants to find Nscho-tschi and Hokshila before the unscrupulous Harry Melton gets them. Until the secret around the 'Eagle Eye',that lasted for centuries, is lifted, there is very dangerous fight in the cave.
