The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs 2013 (by Brothers Grimm)

The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs puts Felix' luck to the ultimate test. Only when the young man succeeds in obtaining the devil's treasure will he be able to marry Princess Isabell. This is the condition set down by her father, the greedy and unscrupulous King Ottokar.

There is great joy in the kingdom: a young boy has been born with a caul - a sign that he will have great luck throughout his life. Soon word spreads that this boy will one day marry the princess. King Ottokar however is obsessed only with gold and wealth and seeks to kill the child, by throwing him in a river. But he is saved by a childless couple, who raise him as their own and name him Felix. By the time the boy has reached the age of 18, he has become an exceptionally gifted violin player. When he plays, people want to dance; his music makes them happy. On a journey through the realm, the king hears of Felix and his music, and realizes that this is the boy of the prophecy and that he has survived. He sends Felix to the castle - with a sealed death warrant in his pocket. And yet again the evil plans cannot harm the lucky boy, who encounters a group of rebels. They secretly change the death warrant into a permission to marry Princess Isabell. Yet the power of the evil king is unbroken: upon his return, Ottokar demands that Felix fetch three of the devil's golden hairs as a wedding gift. The prospect of having to cross the Jordan and enter hell causes Felix to despair. Fortunately, he succeeds in softening the heart of Princess Isabell with his violin playing. She leaves her father and follows Felix - dressed as a hunter - into hell. With the aid of the devil's grandmother, Felix and Isabell are able to get the three golden hairs and make their escape. On the far bank of the Jordan, the King is once again waiting to kill Felix. And once again, luck is on the boy's side and he survives.
