In order to find out how much truth there is in the myth of Stockholm the film ventures forth into the city, visits people and places off the beaten tourist tracks - and discovers that much has happened in recent years in Stockholm. The city has become more colourful, more international and more diverse. But the people of Stockholm also love their traditions, for example on the Midsummer Weekend, the most important festival of the year, that takes place between June 19th and 26th.

Um herauszufinden, wie viel am Mythos Stockholm wirklich dran ist, begibt sich der Film in die Stadt, besucht Menschen und Orte abseits der Touristenpfade - und stellt fest: In Stockholm ist in den letzten Jahren viel passiert. Die Stadt ist bunter, internationaler und abwechslungsreicher geworden. Aber manchmal lieben es die Stockholmer auch traditionell, zum Beispiel am Mittsommer-Wochenende, dem wichtigsten Fest des Jahres, das zwischen dem 19. und 26. Juni stattfindet.
