Sleeping Beauty (By The Brothers Grimm)

Young Fynn has one dearest wish - to liberate the Sleeping Beauty. His Uncle August has told him the story of Princess Myrose: how the evil Muruna cast a spell on her as a baby, causing her to prick her finger on a spindle on her 15th birthday. Young Fynn comes to the King's court as a stable boy. Yet his origins are shrouded in mystery, and from the very first day he is possessed by his heart's desire.

Fynn wants to free the enchanted princess from the 100-year sleep into which she has fallen, together with her parents and the entire court. And even though numerous arrogant princes have already failed in this mission - Fynn is so enchanted by the image of the beautiful Myrose that he secretly learns to fight with a sword and has himself trained as a knight by his uncle, the stable master. He teaches him that a knight must first recognise his enemy before he attacks him. Thus, with patience and cunning, Fynn succeeds in overcoming the deadly briar hedge surrounding the palace and rousing the princess from her deep sleep. Only now can the secret of his own royal origin be aired.
