Sky - Across The Alps On The Wings Of An Eagle (18/268)

Sky may not be the first eagle to soar high above the peaks of the Alps. But this Golden Eagle is definitely the first to be trained by a falconer to circle the peaks of the Alps with a camera on its back. Even since Sky hatched as an eagle chick, his life has been documented by his falconer. He was raised and trained at a falconry south on Munich at the foot of the Alps, teaching him to get used to the falconer's presence and to perch on his arm. A week later, Sky began his flight training. From the very beginning, he learned to fly wearing a little backpack carrying a 320 gram camera. Sky learned to fly up to the nearest peaks carrying the camera, and to record his surroundings as he flies, before working his way up to the rocky peaks of the Karwendel chain. A high-flying documentary that sets your mind soaring!
