Out Of Action (4/49)

Undercover - as waiters in the elegant revolving restaurant of Munich's Olympic Tower - the three Detective Inspectors Ivo Batic, Franz Leitmayr and Carlo Menzinger are lying in wait for a former male nurse: Johannes Peschen is believed to have killed twelve people. It was Leitmayr's idea to catch the wanted man in Munich's highest restaurant - despite the reluctance of his two colleagues. Due to this questionable plan Leitmayr finds himself at loggerheads with them, particularly with Batic, who is suffering from indigestion. The quarrel escalates into a serious rift between the two colleagues! But suddenly Peschen steps out of the lift and enters the restaurant. Franz Leitmayr sees himself confirmed in his strategy and triumphantly arrests Peschen. However, the ex-nurse drags him abruptly into the waiting lift. The elevator starts to descend - and stops at a height of 80 metres. Over the emergency telephone Batic and Menzinger are informed that Peschen has given Leitmayr an injection. After this the contact is broken off. Whether Batic and Menzinger will manage to free their colleague from this death-trap in a nerve-wracking race against time is uncertain. The rescue operation skids out of control, and Batic reproaches himself bitterly for quarrelling so vehemently with Leitmayr just before he was dragged into the lift by the sinister ex-nurse.
