Lynx Tracks - A Story From The Bavarian Forest (83/268)

Now and then remains of their prey, tracks in the snow or a stray white hair on a rock: the secret trail of a wildcat with tufted eartips. 150 years ago it was thought to be extinct, but now the lynx is once again roaming through the Bavarian Forest - there is even a lynx mother and her offspring of only a few weeks. Maybe it would have been better for the two of them if they hadn't been discovered. But a dead deer, its body ripped apart, led several people to their trail: a game biologist and a journalist who are promoting the image of the lynx, a hunter who has caught a glimpse of the tufted eartips and is fascinated - but also other huntsmen who are not at all happy about the return of this spotted rival predator. For the mother lynx and her young one there now begins a time when their paths keep crossing those of these people. It takes two years until the little cub with the big paws is fully grown and claims its own territory. Many adventures await it in that time - but also a struggle for survival. Not only against nature, but also against man, who is still its greatest enemy.
