Kinabatangan - The River Of The Little Elephants (56/268)

Orangutans, proboscis monkeys, Borneo elephants - there is only one place in the world where one can observe all these species - at the River Kinabatangan in the Malaysian part of Borneo. The river meanders along 500 kilometres into the interior of the country, and almost the entire animal kingdom of Malaysia can be observed on its banks. The animal reporter Felix Heidinger travels along the Kinabatangan and comes across a herd of elephants. This encounter lasts for days - days in which both men and elephants sometimes find each other too close for comfort.
