Into the Wilds of Kurdistan (147/268)

Kurdistan - a landscape reminiscent of old Karl May films and one that is home to animals to which humankind owes a great deal: the wild relatives of domesticated goats. Here the goats can be true to their nature, and are free to jump around to their hearts' content. For these natural climbing artists, the steep cliff walls pose no problems either. But unlike their domestic cousins, they have to deal with their natural enemies all by themselves. Kurdish wild goats have an uncertain future - and not just because of predators.
