In The Rhythm Of The Sun (163/268)

The sun prescribes the rhythm of life for animals. It is a 24-hour time-keeper and influences the course of their year. But what happens if this rhythm is disturbed? If dusk starts to fall at midday, and nightfall ends after only a few minutes? The last eclipse of the sun took place mid-year in 2001 in southern Africa - and it also overshadowed a large part of the great national park in Zimbabwe. Mana Pools, which like all African national parks is a window into a natural landscape as it existed before the development of humankind, was completely dark for three minutes just after midday. The film team observed how animals behave during such an event.
