Hunting Leopards Of The Kalahari (202/268)

Hunting Leopards or Cheetahs are the fastest runners in the world. Their slim, elongated body is perfectly designed for this purpose and enables them to reach a top speed of almost 120 km/h. This is unrivalled in wildlife. Nevertheless, these cats also like to climb trees and as long as they are young, they live closely with their mothers. Hunting Leopards can be found in the south of the Kalahari where South Africa, Namibia and Botswana border each other. Two biologists are carrying out a thorough research on the cheetahs living in this barren region where hardly any trees and bushes exist among all the sand and rocks. Christian Herrmann and a South African camera team accompanied the biologists during their research work.
