Homesick Turtles (35/268)

After 20 or 30 years of roaming through the oceans, the females return to the exact beach where they themselves hatched. What inner compass guides this return to the home beach is still a mystery to scientists. But what if this beach is meanwhile no longer a good nesting beach? If nest plunderers are lying in wait at night for these gentle giants? "Animals' World" travelled to Borneo together with Hiltrud Cordes, a German who has been keeping a watchful eye on the turtles' beach there.
