There once was a father who lived with his family in great poverty. The stepmother decides that the children have to go, and so they are left alone in the woods. However, in the woods Hansel and Gretel stumble upon an amazing house in which everything is edible. Lured into the house by an evil witch, they realize that a great danger awaits them.

This imaginative version of the Grimm classic shows how Hansel and Gretel outfox the witch, and how the father finds his children again with the help of the herb fairy Marie.
