He trades the nuggt for a horse, which he trades for a cow, and then for a goose. On his way home, he keeps running into Knudsen the Merchant and his beautiful daughter Elisabeth. Even though she's baffled by Hans's odd behavior, Elisabeth falls in love with the young traveler right away. In the end, however, he winds up completely penniless, and her father decides to save her from Hans in Luck ?
