Habari Serengeti - Wild Meat (132/268)

Where is our gnu? Markus Borner and his team are searching desperately for the proverbial needle in the haystack! Every year over one million gnus roam across the expanses of the Serengeti. They all look the same, only one of them is wearing a collar with a transmitter. And this very gnu, which on its wanderings has collected several years of data in this transmitter, has to be found, and the transmitter removed. Exciting days for the researchers on site, who are also supported by a helicopter. In his search the pilot discovers some quite different things: poachers' camps inside the park, gnus which have to be freed from traps by the rangers. A lot of work for Borner and his team.
