During their investigations Detective Inspectors Batic and Leitmayr delve into the red-light milieu, for there is a new trail to a gruesome, never-solved murder of a prostitute in the 1960s. In a limousine belonging to the former underworld boss Robert "Roy" police officers on patrol happened to stumble across the murder weapon, a stiletto that, thanks to modern forensic technology, could finally cast light on the case. The case is reopened on orders from above - namely from Chief Superintendent Wellisch - and proves to be more difficult than was first assumed. Batic and Leitmayr have to comb through numerous dusty files and are given assistance in the form of the grumpy old police officer Sirsch. And he doesn't even know how to use a computer...
