Goin' West 1 (1/27)

Old Shatterhand departures from St. Louis to the West in the '60s of the nineteenth century. His "Henry Carbine" is with him, but he would not have earned his legendary nickname by then. Being a young railway engineer, he is not aware of the adventures to come. It is a happy chance, that Sam Hawkins, an experienced scout, happens to be his travelling companion. Sam becomes soon a true friend, who teaches him the most important things, for that the Shatterhand-in-spe needs to deal with wild animals and rough characters in this wild and free country. This is only the beginning of the story. It does not take much time and Shatterhand meets lumberman Santer for the first time. Santer never misses a chance to fool around with greenhorns ina nasty way. It happens, that Shatterhand gets right inbetween the fronts of a warlike situation between local settlers and the indians. But he also meets Nscho-Tschi for the very first time and saves her from a Grizzlybear attack.
