A group of settlers could not believe there eyes: in the middle of the prairie there comes a pirate ship to meet and to rob them. Meanwhile,in Winnetous Village is an outbreak of small pocks.The medicine man has no remedy for the White Man`s diseaseand even falls ill himself. In order to save Winnetous people Shatterhand informs a friend of his, a doctor, by handing in a telegram. Sam gets the answer telegram for Shatterhand but he falls into the hands of the pirates.As the captain reads the telegram he finds out that the doctor is travelling in a secret special train of the government. The brutal boss of the pirates gets Sam to talk about the train which transports a big amount of Silver to Denver. As a result, the pirates stop and hold up the train but in addition to this, they,as well, stop the doctor who is urgently needed by the apaches who suffer from the small pocks. Time is pressing for winnetous people but the bloodbrothers manage to save the silver and bring the doctor to the village right in time.
