Bears On The Ski Trails Of The Whistler (191/268)

There are many bears, but the bears of Whistler are really special. A ranger presents the animals that live in the vicinity of the Olympic city 2010.  Each one has a name, its own character and its particular preferences. There is the negligent Jeany, who often forgets her children in the trees  and who has rarely managed up to now to rear her offspring. Or Bella, who has one brown cub and one black cub. Slumber is the oldest and most dominant male bear on the Whistler Blackcomb mountains. In summer they live on the pistes of the ski areas, in winter they seek out caves in the side slopes. The skiers in the Olympic Winter Games are unaware of this as they race down the slopes, only a few metres away from the sleeping bears.
