Bears In The Andes - Columbia's Last Primeval Bears (93/268)

This film tells the story of a family of Andean bears in the cloud forest of south-west Columbia on the slopes of the volcano Cumbal. A thrilling, sometimes amusing, sometimes dramatic and touching story about one of the rarest and most endangered animal species in the world, the only descendants of the first primeval great bears. The team searches for the bears and finally finds them; they show us the animals' precious habitat, the breathtaking cloud forests of Columbia and, over a period of eight months, they record the bears' behaviour, about which very little is known, and capture on film some exciting moments in their lives.
