Judith works as an emergency doctor in Berlin. When she inherits a house in Austria from the family who gave her away as a child, her quest to solve the mystery of her origins turns into a nightmarish journey into the past and the dark places of her soul.

Judith has inherited a house she has never heard of, from a family she knew nothing about, who never wanted her and who gave Judith away as a child. She travels to Austria with her husband Ryan to complete the sale of the family home. There she meets her mysterious aunt Paula, who tries to make her stay in the village. The longer Judith stays in her former home, the stronger the images and feelings from her subconscious come to the surface. In her search for the truth, she unleashes forces beyond her imagination, loses control over space and time – and over her own will. She is trapped in her own nightmare. Can Judith break the cycle like her mother tried to do in vain before her?
