Fredrika Bergman, who works at the Ministry of Justice, becomes involved in the investigation of a hijacked plane whose co-pilot Erik turns out to be the son of her former boss, the legendary police investigator Alex Recht. The operation is led by the strong willed SÄPO (Swedish Security Sevice) officer, Eden Lundell. As Fredrika and Alex find themselves reunited by a terrible coincidence, the atmosphere between Erik and the plane's captain Karim becomes immediately strained when Karim refuses to cooperate with the investigation.
