The Fairytale of the Twelve Months

Queen Klara not only rules over her own kingdom, she is also ruler of the Twelve Months. It is thus her task always to advance the year's clock and so guide the Months through the year. But for weeks now, the Queen has been ill, and she is becoming increasingly weaker. The Twelve Months are fearful: Will the Prince of Frost, whose powers only gain strength in a leap year try to eliminate the queen? Quick action is required, because it is already the last day of February, and the queen must move the year's clock forward to March this evening. If she fails, it will remain forever February - dark and hostile; and that would be a catastrophe for everyone. In the "Book of Eternity", March finds the recipe for adrink which will heal the queen and protect her from the forces of the Prince of Frost. But thedrink is not easy to make. The Twelve Months set off immediately for the castle. Unbeknownst to them the Prince of Frost, masquerading as Count Gero, Queen Klara's most trusted advisor, is already doing everything in his power to destroy her. He has formed an alliance with February, whom he has promised power and prestige once he himself sits on the throne. Count Gero is not at all pleased when the Twelve Months arrive at the castle with the recipe for the drink and quickly chooses two castle servants, the cook Valentin and the stable manager Luise, for the responsible task of finding the ingredients for the healing potion drink. Gero is certain that these two will fail. Soon, however, he will be disabused of this notion. The search is not without danger, but with the help of March, June and September, Valentin and Luise find the first three ingredients: violets, strawberries and an apple. But will February hand over the fourth ingredient, the last flight of the aspen seeds, and with that put a stop to the Prince of Frost and save Queen Klara?
