Danger Ahead

Romy is awakened in the dead of night by a phone call from Ada: her half-brother Ringo needs help urgently. He was arrested for speeding, and during a search of his car, the police found a substantial quantity of drugs in the trunk. Is he a drug courier? He claims that he knows nothing about the drugs, but could he be part of a larger criminal gang and just be remaining silent out of fear? When drugs are found shortly afterwards in Ada's apartment, Romy must ask herself for the first time whether Ada is as clueless about the affair as she pretends to be. André Schulz, in whose car repair shop Ringo has been working of late, appears to be a key element in this case: apparently, he is a major drug dealer, but no one has as yet been able to prove anything. Romy is flabbergasted when she discovers that André is Ada's ex-boyfriend. Ada is now also a suspect and can no longer assist Romy. In this tense situation, Max Baerfeld comes to Ada's defense and takes her on as a client. Although it infringes the legal requirement to keep the cases separate, it becomes clear to Romy that her only chance lies in working closely with Max and Ada. In the midst of everything, it's also Romy's birthday: her parents, and Ben too, leave no stone unturned in their efforts to make sure that she celebrates it. Romy has a moment of weakness and spends the night with Ben. He asks Romy to decide. He won't wait for ever – and she knows that.
