It looks like Nelly's mom Annette isn't coming back. Veterinary Philip Hansen moves back to Waldau, with his new girlfriend Helena - Leo's mom. On one of their outings, Leo discovers a house that would be perfect for the new Hansen-Brüggemann family, and for Philip's veterinary clinic, too. Moving to Waldau is the perfect solution for Leo: Her best friends Jan and Paulina are right next door, and she's surrounded by animals in the middle of nature. Philip's daughters move in, too: Nelly is preparing to graduate from high school, Greta is interning with her dad and preparing to study veterinary medicine. And then Helena adopts 9-year-old Lukas, who's from a circus family and loves animals, too...
