Border Lands - From the Baltic to the Acropolis

The people, the landscapes and life along the EU’s eastern frontier.

The old dream of a united Europe was to have been brought a good deal closer to reality when ten states in eastern and south-eastern Europe were accepted into the European Union in 2004. But what does the reality there look like today, more than a decade later?

From Narva in Estonia to Athens in Greece, from the Baltic to the Acropolis, the EU's eastern frontier creates the route for this documentary series: traveling from north to south, we travel through towns, villages and landscapes both to the left and right of the border, meeting the people who live here as we go.
