Klara Degen, the ever-inquisitive CID secretary, enjoys the excitement of the cases she gets caught up in and she doesn't really mind the dangerous situations either. But when Chief Inspector Paul Kleinert suddenly decides to go on a round-the-world trip, the unit finds itself without a boss. A new CI from Frankfurt is temporarily appointed, and this guy is no team-player. But that doesn't stop Klara from getting involved and trying to solve murder cases with her unique blend of charm and instinct – much to the new CI's disapproval. But what can he do? Whether she's investigating Indian tribes, a women’s motorcycle gang or UFO fanatics, she always seems to have the jump on him. She’s not quite as successful in her private life though; if only "Mr.Right" was as easy to find as a killer...
