Did old Max Lasinger, who suffers from dementia, mistake his own son for an intruder and kill him? Munich homicide cops Batic and Leitmayr find out the dead man was a no-good leech, his wife Karin and their son Tobias had their hands full taking care of confused old Max. Karin Lasinger is a strong, hard-working woman. But her teen son Tobias was unhappy they've moved in with his senile grandfather. Old Max needs constant care, which wasn't helping Karin's estranged marriage. Without the dedicated and cheap care provided by illegal East Europeans, the family would be lost. Suddenly, Bernd Lasinger is dead and Polish caretaker Dana has disappeared. Batic and Leitmayr's investigation turns up a ring dealing in illegal aliens.
