A tiny brown nose appears between the stones of the same colour. Perhaps a tasty morsel will be dropped? Up on the platform stands a man with a bag in his hand. Along with many others he is on his way to work. Lost in thought, he is eating his sandwich, a few crumbs fall to the ground. They do not remain unnoticed. Suddenly the stones come to life, a small brown body shoots out of the underground and scurries along the rails to secure its booty. This is usually the moment when the animal is discovered: "A mouse, look a mouse!" Suddenly the flickering screens on the walls of the underground tunnel, with their ever-recurring Mordillo cartoons, go unheeded. For a few minutes the everyday hustle and bustle, the morning stress is forgotten and many pairs of eyes stare in fascination at the little brown animals in the underground. A joint experience of nature in a very extreme habitat. The warning that a train is approaching usually brings the observers back to reality, but this too is exciting - what will the animals do now, how can they save themselves from the approaching wheels?
