Their body fur is pitch-black, but the head is crowned by a halo of shining golden fur. Very few people have ever seen them - for they are among the rarest monkeys in the world. Only about 50 of them are now still alive. In order to ensure their survival at the last minute, a German biologist in Vietnam is resorting to harsh measures. No matter whether fishermen, hunters or tourists - anyone entering the central zone of the Cat Ba National Park without permission is in trouble with Rosi Stenke and her rangers. The biologist has fought for this last refuge for an extremely endangered species and defends it resolutely. For the first time she takes a television team into the forbidden fiords and breathtaking rocky landscape of the island Cat Ba, the sanctuary of the very last golden-headed langurs.
