This documentary tells the captivating story of nine men and women - Jews, Muslims and Christians - from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Ukraine and the USA who come together in mind, body and spirit on a month-long journey through the Sahara Desert, across five different countries and cultures. Burdened by deep personal tragedy as a result of political conflict, the team members test themselves in this challenging surrounding and against their own conflicting relationships. Taking off from the old city of Jerusalem on a journey of over 6,000 kilometers, they carry a young olive tree with them. Should the members of the expedition reach their final destination as a team, they hope to plant it on Libyan soil as a symbol of peace and reconciliation.
