Over four years and across ten countries and three continents the film follows the trail of the most-wanted living Nazi war criminal: Dr. Aribert Heim.
The search for the presumed mass-murderer known as Dr. Death has been going on throughout the world for forty-six years. Aribert Heim tops the list of the most-wanted Nazi war criminals. He is thought to have murdered hundreds of people in the Austrian concentration camp Mauthausen. After the war he worked as a gynaecologist without encountering any trouble. In 1962 a warrant for his arrest was issued, but Heim fled. This fascinating report investigates how it has been possible for Heim to vanish so completely and why up to now all attempts to seize him have failed.
