On May 1st, 1929, which became known as Bloody May Day, numerous innocent bystanders and demonstrators die after a brutal police crackdown. As the labor movement splits into two enemy camps, the National Socialists grow into a mass movement, winning more and more elections.  Young people from poor and middle-class backgrounds flock to the Hitler Youth, while the SA Brownshirts become more and more assertive and intimidating.
