Julia loves her family: her four children, aunt Isolde and the dog Victor - but not her husband Wolf. He was unfaithful to her and so she threw him out. Amid the usual family chaos and aunt Isolde's daily phone calls, Julia tries hard to be an excellent reporter and to manage her love affair with her boss Jens. As if this was not chaotic enough, aunt Isolde, a hobby detective, thinks she is on the trail of a murder case in her old people's home. Soon after this Isolde disappears. In their concern for her, Julia and Wolf grow closer, and Julia goes to the old people's home to visit Mr. Born, aunt Isolde's prime suspect?
