Modern career woman Franzi returns to her down-home village in Bavaria to get her head straight after her marriage plans blow up around her ears. But back home, everyone has problems of their own? Franzi is a career-oriented young woman who seems to be on her way to the perfect life: She's engaged to be married and planning on moving to China with her groom. But when she catches her fiancé red-handed (and red-faced) with a young Chinese woman, the wedding is off. Shattered and shocked, Franzi decides to take some time off and return to her native village in Bavaria to get her bearings. But when she gets home, it turns out everybody there is busy with problems of their own. Her happy-go-lucky mother Traudl has a new boyfriend hardly much older than Franzi. Her best friend is busy trying to open a new business, while old friend Werner struggles in vain to fill his dusty and old-fashioned boutique with new life. "Sweet Home, Bavaria" follows the heroine's mishaps and misadventure along the way as she tries to start over again.
- Doch da ruft Werner an: Er will Franzi dringend etwas zeigen...
