A new, updated version of the classic French fairy tale "La Belle et la Bete", the story of an impossible love between a wild monster and a beautiful young girl.
Pretty maiden Elsa's father Hugo is on the brink of ruin. Fate seems to come to their aid as Elsa finds a suitor in Sir Bertolt. Returning from a business trip, Hugo gets lost and winds up in a mysterious deserted castle. When he picks a rose, he suddenly finds himself attacked by a monster, which is half man and half beast. Hugo saves his life by offering the beast the first human he meets at home in exchange. Much to his horror, it is his daughter.
The adaptation by Marc-Andreas Borchert combines adventure, mystery, romance and humor in a fast-paced film for the whole family. Even if you think you know the story, you'll be surprised and enchanted by this wonderful, magical new version of the classic fairy tale.
