Majestic falcons circle above the endless desert in the dawn light. Their flying skills are observed by the watchful eyes of the falconers in the National Park of Dubai. Falconry has a long tradition in Arab countries. Training and hunting with these noble birds is both a sport and a passion. Now it is also the cornerstone of a nature conservation project of a special kind, for in Dubai falcons are now being bred with the sole aim of setting them free. Soon they are to reclaim their original habitat and reinforce the natural population.
