Jan Ullrich always stood out from the crowd. His childhood friend and later teammate André Korff saw that from an early age. Together they attended an elite sports school in Berlin. And from there they went into what was then East Germany's high-performance sports system. After the fall of the Wall, Jan Ullrich turned professional and joined Team Telekom. It was a meteoric rise for the young athlete. Germany was set to have a new sporting legend. This episode focuses on Jan Ullrich's youth and greatest triumph – from the perspective of his mother, both his brothers, his teammates such as Bjarne Rijs, and his greatest rivals, including Richard Virenque and Lance Armstrong.
