The body of Internet blogger Niklas Denz is found on the bank of the Ache. It seems that the killer has taken off with the blogger's laptop. Beissl, Jerry and their new colleague Sophia discover that Niklas Denz was working on a story about the dodgy dealings of a feedstuff producer. For his research, he had recruited the village assistant Martha Haas as a spy! She denies any involvement in the crime. However, when the detectives discover that Martha and the farmer, for whom she works, have since become an item, suspicions about the pair intensify. Her colleague and house mate Dani Sturm also attracts some suspicion. Only when the dead man's laptop is suddenly found do the detectives get a step closer to solving the case. 
A new colleague at the station and a new house for the Beissl family. Water damage is forcing them to move. And in the midst of all the moving chaos, Eva is trying to study for the Abitur. In her search for a quiet spot to study, she ends up at a friend's place in his trailer! Beissl's alarm bells are going off until Eva takes her father at his word.
