There is a riot at Commissioner Beissl's house: neither his daughters nor his wife Elisabeth want to take a shower without hot water for any longer. But before Beissl can really take care of things, he is interrupted by a call from Jerry: Klaus Leibold reports the kidnapping of his wife, the wealthy real estate agent Birgit. Only her handbag and a shoe were found by the pool of an expensive mansion. A first impulse leads the commissioners to investigate the husband's past. The artist lives well on his wife's income. But then it turns out that Birgit is in financial trouble. What is it about the strange payments of her best friend Veronika?
Beissl nests with the Leibolds to wait for further calls from the kidnapper. That night, he has to revise his judgment of the dandyish husband of the victim. The next morning, colleague Caro provides crucial clues. Not least thanks to Beissl's phenomenal local insights and Jerry's full engagement, the kidnapped can be rescued in the end.
