Jesch made a mistake for the first time: One victim survived seriously injured, but later dies in the hospital. Rosa Wilder now wants to lure the serial killer out of his hide with a trick. Can Jesch escape the investigators at this point?
Jesch's third victim, driving instructor Koller, has survived the murder attempt - for now. Now the investigators just have to wait until Koller wakes up and can give information about the perpetrator. But nothing comes of it: Koller dies of his injuries in the hospital. Wilder and Kägi are back to square one.
Rosa Wilder contacts Jenny Langenegger, of all people. The sensationalist journalist is stirring things up against the police with her articles. But now Rosa asks Jenny for support. She is to publish the fact that Koller survived. The idea is to lure the serial killer out of the dark. Kägi, Rosa and Jakob prepare for an attack in the hospital.
Jesch became a man driven by revenge caused by a tragic accident. Ten years earlier, Jesch watched his wife Teresa and daughter Aline burn to death in the wreckage of a nighttime car accident that was not their fault. Now Jesch has tracked down those responsible for his family's death and is holding them responsible. First up was driving instructor Koller - a former police officer. But before Jesch can carry out the next murder attempt, he is challenged elsewhere.
