Karim and Sherazade find the Tree of Life in a vast cave under the Temple. But before Karim can use its fruit to remove his curse, Dunyazad arrives and blocks their path. She viciously destroys the Tree, releasing powerful demons under her control from its dying roots and making her all but invincible. In the battle, Sherazade is mortally wounded and Karim uses the last of the tree’s fruits to save her, dooming himself to remain cursed forever. This act of true love brings tears to Sherazade’s eyes, and as her tears fall on the roots of the tree they bring it back to life – true love brought its magic back. Its restored power consumes the escaped demons, and Dunyazad herself. And Karim is finally able to restore his true form and become Sultan. There is much celebration in the Golden City as a new age dawns.
