The Lamp of Wonders

Sherazade sneaks back into the Golden City with a map provided by Halil that shows the location of the Lamp of Wonders in the catacombs under the city. On the way she forms a reluctant alliance with the shady street thief Aladin, who claims that the map is out of date and only he can guide her through. Together they enter the catacombs, dodging traps and solving riddles and becoming fast friends. But when they reach the Lamp, Aladin reveals that he has been coerced by Dunyazad into double-crossing Sherazade and handing her over for capture. As Dunyazad interrogates Sherazade, Aladin’s conscience gets the better of him and he risks his life to break them both free, escaping with Sherazade and the Lamp back into the desert.
